It's in your face every day -- the latest diet, a new "striptease" workout, the new "healthy options" at fast food restaurants, etc. All of these claim to promote a healthy lifestyle and offer new and exciting ways to be skinny and pretty and fit and disease-free and happy. But with heart disease, cancer and obesity at an all-time high, something is clearly amiss.
How do you sort through what really IS healthy and what is just a marketing ploy by some big company, looking to make you its next victim?
That's what we're here for.
We are Amber, Kelly and Liza. We aren't dietitians or nutritionists or physical trainers. We're just three women who question the gimmicks, research the claims, and find healthy ways to live our lives. And we want to share what we find with you, thus "birthing" WutzHealthyIndy.
Add this blog to your RSS feed and follow us on Twitter (@WutzHealthyIndy) for tips on how to have a healthy body and mind, including nutrition information, recipes, fitness tips, and ways to keep the brain in tip-top shape. And, well, some humor along the way. (Mostly in the form of confessions of a food judgment lapse... Yes, we've made two trips to Starbucks in one day. Before noon. We're human!)
Thanks for reading and following us. If you ever have a question you'd like us to answer or research, or you have a tip/trick/workout/recipe you'd like to recommend, tweet or comment on the blog and we'll get you the answers you need.
Eat (veggies), drink (plenty of water) and be merry (try some yoga)!
